Your wedding is about you, not me. But if I'm going to be your wedding photographer, it is incredibly important that you like and trust me. The best way to do that is for us to get to know one another. We can start with a quick email or chat on the phone, but after that, let's meet in person and see if we connect and want to work together.

If you've landed on this page and know nothing about me, you probably want to read a little further before you invest the time to really get to know me. I totally understand, so here's my attempt at a biography:

Although I sometimes try to take myself way too seriously, I am a goofball at heart (as if the photograph here doesn't already tell that story!). I love being and working with positive people who have a huge love of life. I love doing kids' PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY (and dogs, too) because they are genuinely delighted to be alive. For much the same reason, I love to photograph weddings. When all the stress of planning a wedding melts away, the big day is filled with joy and love and who wouldn't want to be a part of that?!

In case you are wondering what qualifies me to call myself a professional photographer (besides all that fancy equipment), I'll take some space here to tell you about my credentials. I have a bachelor's degree in graphic design (which includes classes in film photography!) and worked as a graphic designer in Silicon Valley for many years. Then I switched gears and got a high school teaching credential and taught first math, then digital art, for 8 years here in San Diego. My personal artistic medium of choice has always been photography and when I got the chance to develop the photography program at Canyon Crest Academy in 2004, I was thrilled!

A few years ago, I decided to leave teaching to pursue my dream of having my own photography business. Which brings us to today...

I almost forgot to mention that in my spare time, I'm working on a
Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography and have had my
fine art photography work displayed in numerous galleries
throughout San Diego County.
